Niece Web #15 is up

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today you get Niece Web #15: Dark Spider's Bootleg Nail Salon...say what? That's right, Dark Spider is the person to go to for your nails to be professionally done by his patented wall paintbrush. Now featuring the colors "Living Room Beige" and "Garage Gray". Whoa, what happened to the site?

If this is your first time to Niece Web since last night then you're probably wondering what happened to the website...it looks so much nicer. That's because over the course of the past day, I've been giving the website a nice cosmetic makeover. To be honest, I didn't really like how the site looked before...it had that thrown together look. Well, that's because I did throw it together. I had only the most basic knowledge of HTML, and from that I made up the website in the course of a month.

But now I found this nice program called Dreamweaver MX and that program is one of the best website creation/WYSIWYG editors around. If if wasn't for that program, it would have taken me forever to give the website a graphical overhaul.

So now I'm happy with how the website looks for now...let me give you a run through of all the changes...

-Niece Web now has a new logo. Its based off of the old one, but its fancier and now has a flower above the "i"

-On all of the pages, I put the website navigation links on the left side of the page in a purple box, instead of on top. I figured that would look better on all of the pages and plus it matches the purple hint I put on all the pages.

-All the webpages now have the same design and are uniform (except for the contact page). With the new design, light blue is now the central color (instead of standard blue) and I added some purples in. Plus there are now values in the colors, so it looks more refreshing.

-There are new banners throughout the website. The home page banner has the new logo, plus new graphics of Dark Spider and the nieces. All the other banners on the site are either the same as the home page one, or have the Dark Spider/nieces graphic replaced with text.

-Indodex is now gone! I grouped together the comic summary and the cast page into one page called "Comic Info" and I gave the Contact page its own link on the home page. I did that because "infodex" is kind of an ambigous name, it might confuse some of my readers looking for comic info. So I grouped together all of the comic info into one, easy to read page and named it as such. In case people need to e-mail me, I just gave out a direct link on the home page so people could find it easily.

I think that's all the changes for the site. Tomorrow look for a new entry into the Dark Spider Web about my comic promoting escapades. There will be a new comic on Tuesday also, so you can't miss that. Later Taters!
