Niece Web carries on through the 3x a week grind
It's been almost like 6 weeks since my hiatus and I haven't missed an update day yet. That's like 15 straight comics. At the most, the comic gets posted later on in the day if I can't make the 8AM update, but I never missed the actual day. It's not really a big deal when compared to other webcomic giants that haven't missed an update in years, but its a big personal accomplishment for me. I'm proving to myself I CAN keep a consistent update schedule. This is webcomicking (or however you spell that) at its best folks.
Well, enough with the personal bragging. I hope everyone has been enjoying the new and improved Niece Web for the past couple of weeks. I guess short and sweet strips are the way to go for this comic. I do have big plans for the comic in the future. I really want to release a graphic novel sized story of Niece Web along with a compilation of like the first hundred or so strips (the NEW strips, not the one from last year). But that's in the far future, so don't hold your breath.
The most significant change to the comic is its new "slice of life" feel. The comic will be mostly gag/situation oriented, but there will definitely be character arcs and whatnot. Hey, gags are funny, but arcs are where the character grow...and I want you to LOVE these characters.
I remember awhile ago I said I was creating a wallpaper for the comic. Well, I haven't had time to get to it, with the 3x/week grind of the comic and college work. But I haven't forgot about it.
Also I decided to do a little promotion for the comic. Its definitely time for new eyes to see Niece Web. At the bottom of the index page are links to vote for Niece Web at a couple of webcomic top lists. It would mean so much to me if you could vote for Niece Web. I don't really have an incentive to give to you, but I promise you that you will have my ever loving thanks!
Pretty soon I have to start updating the site a little bit, to reflect some of the new changes. If you look in the comic info page, you can see some changes already, as I replaced the main cast portraits with their updated looks. Now I have to update their bios some more. I'll let you know when I have that completed.
