The Extra LONG Niece Web comic today, enjoy!

Hello everybody! I hope I didn't bore you all with the 2 week hiatus, but it had to be done. But now the comic is back, with an extra long one to make up for the hiatus. This comic is originally supposed to be entered into a contest, but I couldn't complete it on time. So I had to turn in an older comic, and just be content with just giving it to you guys. You guys deserve it after the hiatus.

This comic marks the start of a trend of the comic is heading toward. Since I want to focus on character's thoughts and feelings, I decided to have the characters talk DIRECTLY to you (the reader) as though you were there with them. You might have seen this approach in television shows like "The Office", "Malcolm in the Middle", "Titus", and various reality shows. In today's comic, there are some panels that are on a gray background and the speech bubbles are in purple. Well, those panels are character asides where the character talks to you (the reader) privately about whatever they want.

I'm pretty excited about this new narrative approach to the comic. I feel it opens some new and exciting doors in storytelling and comedy. As for the people that might say "well, its not good for the characters to break the fourth wall", this new narrative approach isn't really breaking the fourth wall. Yes, the characters are talking to us, but they are doing so while living their lives. They are unaware that they are in a comic, they are just talking to us as though we're silent spectators that are not physically in their environment. I hope that makes sense to you all.

Well, I talked your heads off, so I'll talk to you all later. There will be an update on SUNDAY, so make sure to come back for that. Later taters!
