The new comic will be tonight around 7:30PM and some IMPORTANT news!!!
The new comics are usually posted around 8AM on the update days, but today's comic will be posted at 11PM so stay tuned for that. I forgot to mention that its also THE FINALE of the Rainy Day Club story. I originally didn't want the story to last THIS long, but I kinda got carried away. Can you imagine, I've been doing this story since late February. It was a long ride, but I'm finally done! I've enjoyed the story alot because you got to see the nieces in a new "dramatic" light for a change.
I'm starting the comic over!
I've been doing ALOT of soul searching lately with the comic. I've always treated this comic as an experimental medium to get used to creating comics. I have grown as a writer and artist tremendously in the past year. But as a grow, unfortunately my earlier work becomes bad by comparison to the newer work. My earlier work seems disjointed and kinda unfocused (in my personal opinion) as I get a feel for the my characters and my writing is refined.
I've been looking into ways to rectify this for my own personal happiness, and I came to the conclusion that I should "start the comic over". By giving myself this fresh start, I can start the characater off on a more solid footing and grow from there. You guys will definitely see a change in the way the comic is done, in terms of better writing and better art. I can't wait for this fresh start as I see it as a chance to really show everyone what I got!
This fresh start will begin on Tuesday. The archives page will be wiped to reflect the "clean slate". You may be asking what will happen to the previous 84 comics. Well, they will be put in their own section so they can be viewed at any time. But for the purposes of the fresh start, they won't be accessable with the normal navigation buttons or the normal archive page. Now you may be asking "do they count toward the comic story?" and "are they still canon?". The answer to both those questions is YES!!! While you DON'T need to read the past comics to understand the new comics, they still happened in the comic continuity, so it will be definitely worth your time to glance through them to see where the characters came from, but its certainly not required.
I hope I didn't scare you all with these bold new changes. In terms of story and characters, Niece Web will be exactly the same if not better. I'm very excited about these changes (and hopefully you too).
Well, that's all for today. I hope you enjoy the finale to the Rainy Day Club and later taters.
